An elegant classic from one of Tuscany’s best known producers. it’s Christmas, so I’m indulging in a more expensive wine for the festivities, and this is a beauty. Elegant, and poised, with all the hallmarks of quality, style and class, beautifully matured. It weaves rich morello cherry fruit, through subtle oak notes, and wild herbs. Subtle, yet rounded and velvety, with a lively freshness on the finish. This would be a worthy partner to the festive bird, or to a rib of beef.
